Campus Alignment
Our campus alignment plan is driven by the desire to ensure all campuses have adequate space and resources to meet student needs at each campus to allow for more personalized support. Counselors with specialized backgrounds in trauma and grief will be available to serve students and staff at all district campuses.
-
The Uvalde Elementary campus (the Benson Complex) will serve students in third and fourth grade under the direction of the teachers, and support staff, from Robb Elementary.
-
Flores Elementary will serve students in the fifth and sixth grades. The teachers, support staff, and administrators at Flores Elementary will remain in place.
-
Crossroads Academy will be relocated to 537 E. Oppenheimer Street. This facility will meet the Academy’s unique needs for a flexible school day with a focus on individualized learning plans.
-
New Hope Daycare will be located in the north building at the Benson Educational Complex.

Are there plans for a permanent memorial?
In addition to consulting with the families that have lost loved ones, the district intends to form a memorial committee to determine how we can appropriately honor the 21 lives we lost.
-
As a parent, I am just as worried about the school year transition as my student(s). Are there support resources for parents?
Yes. Parents, families, and members of the Uvalde community may also take advantage of the network of supporting organizations and professionals who offer counseling, and health and wellness services.

My student was a student at, or was on track to attend school at Robb Elementary. How do I find out which school they will go to?
Information about changes in campus alignment can be found on the Campus Information webpage.

Will students attend Robb Elementary?
The Robb Elementary School building will no longer be used as a school. While we are certain that students will not return to the school building at that location, future plans for the building have yet to be determined. Any decisions about the future of Robb Elementary School building will be made with the full input of the community.

Will Uvalde CISD institute more intensive training for all teachers and staff?
Yes. Delaying the start of the school year will allow the opportunity for additional professional development, including reviewing school safety protocols and best practices.
