Welcome to the Bilingual/Migrant Department!

  • All English Language Learners at Uvalde CISD will receive a quality education that prepares them for the future. The education English Language Learners receive will embody the core value of the importance and significance of valuing their first language and the culture of English Language Learners. UCISD will instill in the students a sense of pride and importance on the benefits of knowing two languages. Educators at UCISD will work diligently to promote and encourage ELL students to realize that their skills and abilities in two languages will give them the necessary tools and enhancements to be successful in a competitive world.
Every ELL student will receive a well-balanced education. This will include an education in the core subject areas of math, science, social students and English, but also in co-curricular, extracurricular, leadership and teamwork activities.
